Double Rainbow before the game
Wow . . . what a game last night! The Cougs beat Marquette in PK's in front of over 3,100 fans at South Field! The Cougs came out strong in the first half outshooting the Golden Eagles 12-5 with some good looks at the goal, but Marquette did not back down. They came out fighting in the second half and had some good chances. The Cougs defense and Erica Owens were solid in the back blocking shots and making amazing saves! Lindsi Lisonbee Cutshall played an amazing game, and was both in the offensive half and then making game-saving blocks in the back on defense. Erica Owens made awesome saves as the crowd chanted her name, and the rest of the team fought until the last minute of the double OT.

Freshmen Paige Hunt, Michelle Murphy and Marissa Nimmer, and sophomores Jaiden Thornock and Kayla Varner and Senior Cami Jensen scored their penalty kicks to help the Cougars advance to the Elite Eight!
